Influence of Color Schemes on Custom Website Designs

Color schemes are the most essential element in gaining viewer attention. Selecting a color scheme for a website design is one of the most important and probably the most difficult task for designers. Color schemes should reflect the true nature and essence of the business. Most of the time website colors are influenced by logo design of the brand. Logo designs are used to represent the brand image and to give familiar touch to the website, designers fit in similar color scheme for website designs. However, there is no hard and fast rule to follow but being certain about the color to be used in the website will help during the design phase. 

A website design for a drinking water brand will use blue color on the website theme, because people associate blue color with water, purity or cleanliness. For a custom website design, selecting a color scheme requires deep understanding of human psyche and its impact on human emotions. Red color is alarming so whenever designers want to attract the viewers’ attention towards a “point of action” they normally use red color. However, red color is not specified with buttons or other noticeable areas of the webpage. Any color can be use to present a sensitive area on the website, depending on the color scheme. 

If we observe custom website layout we can see that theses layouts cater to specific color scheme. Designers usually select a combination of colors that complement each other. Like, black, white and gray are combined with 1 or 2 primary colors, in most web layouts. Selecting a particular color scheme right at the start of designing a website or even wire framing on a simple color scheme will enable the designer to focus on the website content. However, there is always room for adjustments. Designers can change colors or add new styles, but being certain about the color scheme and clean interface will bring out the brilliant work.
